Spoiler alert: this is the film, Psycho (1960) under a different skin. I know, I deliberately switched the adjectives because I think that just sound so apt. This is a marriage of psychological horror and paranormal gore. I regret not reading it instantly and stashing it on my hoard. I love a good scare and this is the only free book at the time centering on paranormal horror. Long story short, don't judge this book based on the cover (ugly coloring and placement of fonts). You can find hundreds of them from at least five publishing houses in my country. The design for the fonts looks so drab, it made me think that this novel is as corny as cheap ghost story books you find on any local bookstore. The problem was the lack of shimmer on the font-face. I didn't have a good relationship with The Ghost Files at first.
